A synthetic peptide for use as a blocking control in assays to test for specificity of GOT2 antibody, Alternative Names: GOT2 control peptide, GOT2 antibody Blocking Peptide, Anti-GOT2 Blocking Peptide, Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase 2 Mitochondrial Blocking Peptide, Aspartate Aminotransferase 2 Blocking Peptide, FLJ40994 Blocking Peptide, kat4 Blocking Peptide, kativ Blocking Peptide, mitaat Blocking Peptide
Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme which exists in cytoplasmic and inner-membrane mitochondrial forms, GOT1 and GOT2, respectively. GOT plays a role in amino acid metabolism and the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. The two enzymes are homodimeric and show close homology.
