This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-SCP2 Antibody. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
SCP2 protein is thought to be an intracellular lipid transfer protein. SCP2 is highly expressed in organs involved in lipid metabolism, and may play a role in Zellweger syndrome, in which cells are deficient in peroxisomes and have impaired bile acid synthesis.
