- Background: PolE3/p17 is a subunit of DNA polymerase epsilon that plays a role in DNA replication and repair. PolE3/p17 contains histone-fold motifs which play a role in protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. PolE3/p17 interacts with CHRAC1 (chromatin assembly complex 1), ACF1, and ISWI/SNF2H proteins to form the CHRAC ISWI chromatin-remodeling complex.
