- The specificity of this antibody was confirmed in an IF experiment where the antibody stained alveolar macrophages for MACRO (Arredouani et al., 2005). Tissue samples prepared in acetone and paraformaldehyde were also successfully immunohistochemically stained (Arredouani et al., 2005, Martens et al., 2006). The antibody was also capable of weak staining of alveolar macrophages in flow cytometry (Palecanda and Kobzik, 2001). In IP experiments, the antibody immunoprecipitates MARCO from lysates obtained from COS cells transfected with human MARCO (Arredouani et al., 2005).
