Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1/16000. Western blot: 0.2-0.6 μg/mL. Approx 50 kDa band observed in Human lysates of cell lineHepG2 (calculated MW of 49.0 kDa according to NP_004487.2). An additional band ofunknown identity was also consistently observed at 30 kDa. This band was successfullyblocked by incubation with the immunising peptide. Immunohistochemistry: 5-10 μg/mL. In paraffin embedded Human Prostate shows nuclear staining of secretory cells. Anonymous customers used this product successfully in ChIP with MCF7. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
FOXA1 is a member of the forkhead class of DNA-binding proteins. These hepatocyte nuclear factors are transcriptional activators for liver-specific transcripts such as albumin and transthyretin, and they also interact with chromatin. Similar family members in mice have roles in the regulation of metabolism and in the differentiation of the pancreas and liver.Synonyms: Forkhead box protein A1, HNF-3-alpha, HNF-3A, HNF3A, Hepatocyte nuclear factor 3-alpha, TCF-3A, Transcription factor 3A
