Peptide ELISA: Limit dilution 1: 16000. Western blot: Experiments gave an approx 60 kDa band in Human Liver and Brain lysates at1 μg/mL. Immunohistochemistry: 5-10 μg/mL. In paraffin embedded Human Placenta shows strongstaining of cytoplasm in syncytiotrophoblasts.
Other applications not tested.

- Human NEIL1 is the homologs of Escherichia coli Nei. Human NEIL1 is a DNA glycosylase, that phylogenetically belongs to the Fpg/Nei family, primarily found in the bacterial kingdom and is functionally homologous to bacterial Nei. Thymine glycol, a potentially lethal DNA lesion produced by reactive oxygen species, can be removed by DNA glycosylases.
