ELISA. Western Blotting. Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: Immunohistochemical detection of Tenascinis valuable for studies of tissue differentiation and tumour growth. The antibody isexcellent for staining of paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
Other applications not tested.

- 背景
- Tenascin is a high molecular ECM glycoprotein (MW app. 210-300 kDa), which contains hexamere repeat-rich single chains. It contains EGF-, Fibronectin III- and Fibronectin-similar structures. During organogenesis it is exprimed temporarily by many organs. During adulthood it reappears only in regeneration, wound healing and in stroma of various tumours. It probably has an anti-adhesive function, which plays a role during tumour speading. Tenascin is found in the central and peripheral nerve system, in smooth muscle, tendon and hyper-proliferative skin.Synonyms: Cytotactin, GMEM, GP 150-225, Glioma-associated-extracellular matrix antigen, Hexabrachion, Myotendinous antigen, Neuronectin, TN-C, Tenascin-C
